Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 6 has recently passed the FCC certification, shedding light on several of its key features ahead of the official launch. This foldable smartphone, model number SM-F741B, is set to impress with its advanced specifications.
The certification reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be powered by two batteries, identified as EB-BF741ABY and EB-BF742ABY, with capacities of 1097mAh and 2790mAh respectively. Together, they provide a robust total capacity of 3887mAh. Additionally, the device will support 25W fast charging via the EP-TA800 USB-C adapter, ensuring efficient power management whether charging through wired or wireless methods.
On the connectivity front, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is well-equipped. It boasts 5G support for faster mobile internet, WiFi capabilities encompassing 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols, Bluetooth for seamless device pairing, and NFC for convenient contactless payments.
Interestingly, the US variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, also recently certified by the FCC, revealed the absence of Wi-Fi 7, which might be a strategic decision by Samsung to disable this feature at the firmware level.
Both the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 are expected to feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, running on the latest Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1. These devices will benefit from Samsung’s long-term software support, guaranteed for at least seven years.
While Samsung has not yet confirmed the exact date, the upcoming Unpacked event is rumored to take place in Paris next month. This event will not only showcase the new foldable phones but also introduce new smartwatches, the innovative Galaxy Ring, and a fresh set of earbuds.
