T-Mobile releases One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy S21 FE

T-Mobile is rolling out the feature-rich One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy S21 FE customers in the United States. This update is already live for some other US carriers and international models of the device.

For your information, One UI 5.1 carries over various small but useful features from the Galaxy S23 series to its older siblings. Additionally, it installs the February 2023 patch for security and privacy enhancements.

T-Mobile-locked Samsung Galaxy S21 FE customers are getting the One UI 5.1 update with built version G990USQU4EWAI (Via SammyFans). Eligible users can now navigate to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install to fetch it.

One UI 5.1 features:

Starting the Camera, Samsung One UI 5.1 makes it easy to change the color tone of selfies through the Effects button on the side of the screen. Next, it adds a common family album for easier picture sharing, more powerful searches to search pictures of a specific person, and a convenient information display in landscape mode to the Gallery app.

Moreover, the company has further made it earlier to use Split-screen and Pop-up view. You can now adjust the window size by dragging the window edges in any direction in the Pop-up view. And for Split-scree, you will see categories for Recent apps and Most used apps, allowing you to quickly select apps.

Moving ahead, the Widget section is another compartment where the new custom software has made major changes. It installs a new Battery Widget so that you can get information about your phone and connected Bluetooth devices’ batteries at a glance.

In addition, the Dynamic Weather Widget provides a summary of current weather conditions, forecasts, hourly precipitation, severe weather alert, and other information. Whereas, the improved Smart Suggestion Widget recommends a Spotify playlist based on your activities.

Aside from these, the One UI 5.0’s Bixby Text Call feature now started supporting the English language. Users can now continue browsing on Samsung Internet on different devices. In addition, you can also set a different wallpaper based on your current Modes activity, such as work, exercise, etc.
