Samsung rolls out January 2024 update for Galaxy Note 20 starting with US

Samsung has started rolling out the January 2024 Android security update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices in the US. However, the patch is already live for Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 and Galaxy M31. Therefore, it will expand to more devices soon.

The January 2024 update will enhance the security and stability of your Galaxy devices, ensuring that user’s data and sensitive information remain secure. Moving on, it also offers improved protection against harmful threats, viruses, and other safety-related assaults.

In addition, the patch further mentions fixes for a total of 75 vulnerability exposures including g 1 critical, 68 high, and 6 moderate levels of CVEs from Google. Whereas, 5 SVE items related to the camera, the secure folder, the biometrics, the Wi-Fi, and the Bluetooth.

Accordingly, the January 2024 update is currently rolling out for carrier-locked units of Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra devices with One UI build version N981USQS6HWL5 and N986USQS6HWL5 respectively in the US.
