Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 will get One UI 5.1.1, testing is underway

Samsung has reportedly started preparation for the next One UI version i.e. One UI 5.1.1. As May 2023 begins today, the company has started testing a new One UI 5.1.1 firmware on Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 smartphones.

Checkfirm has spotted new One UI 5.1.1 builds for the fourth generation of foldable smartphones. The Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 have already received the One UI 5.1 update, so apparently, it is testing the upcoming One UI version.

The One UI 5.1 can be identified by “C” alphabet as the fourth last digit of Samsung’s firmware and with the alphabet ‘”D” we can verify it as the next One UI version.

One UI 5.1.1 testing is going on in Korea for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 with version F936NKSU2DWDC and F721NKSU2DWDC respectively.

Samsung is likely to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 out of the box. The next-gen foldable phones may debut in July this year, whereas the One UI 5.1.1 may be available for older Galaxy devices a month later of launch.
