Samsung is expanding the Galaxy S22 series August 2022 Android security patch with a new software update in the US. This update has been released for carrier-unlocked units in the United States, however, it will reach carrier-locked models very soon.
Notably, Samsung recently rolled out the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta update for these carrier-unlocked models. The update brings tons of new features along with countless improvements to take the Galaxy experience to the next level.
Well, One UI 5 beta is a topic for another post, the latest Galaxy S 22 August patch mainly focuses on fixing various vulnerabilities and exposures to further enhance the performance of the device. These exposures also included a serious Samsung dialer bug that allowed local attackers to access ICCID via logs.

Samsung is expanding the Galaxy S22 series August 2022 update in the US with the following One UI build versions:
- Galaxy S22: S901U1UEU2AVG8
- Galaxy S22+: S906U1UEU2AVG8
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: S908U1UEU2AVG8
If you are one of the eligible users, you can view and download this update by navigating to your phone’s settings. From here enter the Software Update section and tap on Download and Install option. After waiting for a while a new update will appear, press the download button to download it.
