Samsung is expanding the One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 smartphones in the US, with customers using the Verizon network getting a chance to install it first. However, other carriers in the country should soon release it.
At present, if you are using a Verizon-locked Galaxy A71 or A51 smartphone you can recognize the One UI 5.1 builds through firmware versions A716VSQU5GWB5 and A516VSQU5GWB5, respectively – Via SammyFans.
One UI 5.1 features:
Samsung One UI 5.1 update breathes new life into these three-year-old Galaxy devices. The latest update installs two new Widgets – the battery widget, and the Dynamic Weather widget, as well as significant improvements to the Smart Suggestion widget.
On the other side, the company further brings a new pop-up view and split-screen view features for easier multitasking, a more effortless selfie color tone picker in the Camera, multiple advanced Gallery app features, Bixby Text Call in the English language, support for ‘Continue using app on other devices’ feature in Samsung Internet, and much more.
No major updates left for Galaxy A71 and A51:
Samsung introduced the Galaxy A71 and A51 phones at a mid-range cost in 2019. Both devices came pre-installed with the Android 10-based One UI 2 operating system and later received Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13 software updates.
However, the devices are only eligible for three major Android software updates, therefore, the customers have to satisfy with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 features for a lifetime.
Galaxy A54:
If you want to stay connected with the fresh Android and One UI features and the Galaxy A series, the upcoming Galaxy A54 will be your best choice.
Samsung will reportedly unveil this smartphone next week. It has various advanced internals, the latest software, four major Android update support, a beautiful flagship design, and more at a mid-range cost.
