The two-year-old yet famous Samsung Galaxy A12 has started collecting Android 12-based One UI 4.1 updates, in recent development. The update brings several new features to give this budget smartphone user flagship-level customization options.
Well, this is the last major OS update for this device. It is not eligible for Android 13-based One UI 5.0 and after this current firmware, it will only receive security patches. As of now, it is installing last month’s Android security patch which is July 2022 instead of the latest August 2022.

It is worth noting that Samsung is currently rolling out the Galaxy A12 One UI 4.1 update for the Russian unit. However, as usual, it won’t take long for the company to spread the update widely. To manually check this on your Galaxy device, go to Settings followed by Software Update and the Download and Install option.
Of the changes this update brings, the Color palette is the most noticeable change that Android 12-based One UI 4.1 brings for Galaxy customers. It is able to theme your quick panel, dialer app, settings, volume panel, and app icons according to your wallpaper.
Next, the Samsung keyboard has undergone a major change, adding Grammarly to ensure you don’t make any spelling mistakes while typing a message. There are new editing tools in the Galaxy app called Object Eraser and Shadow Eraser.
In addition to these, with the enhanced Quick Share feature, you can share your files more intuitively and quickly edit them before sending them. Google Duo which has now merged with Google Meet lets you share your gallery, videos, shows, etc. with other individuals over a video call.
Samsung Calendar now allows you to add stickers to entries while Samsung Notes, Samsung Internet, Dark Mode, Bixby Routines, Always On Display, and Widgets Picker UI are now more powerful. Additionally, new lock screen widgets have been added.
