Samsung customer got free screen replacement over his Note 20’s Octa Line issue

Samsung customer got free screen replacement over his Note 20’s Octa Line issue

Samsung’s May 2023 software update reportedly brought green/pink line issues on some Galaxy devices. A few days back, a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra user reported that his unit got affected by lines on the screen. The customer now revealed that Samsung offered him free screen replacement over the Octa Line issue.

According to Twitter user Ramen, Samsung India replaced the screen and battery of his Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone. Do note that it’s the same unit, which got impacted by green/pink lines post-May 2023 firmware installation a few days back.

Notably, the phone was purchased in August 2021 and naturally went out of warranty last August. Still, the company offered him a free-of-cost screen plus a battery replacement as the issue didn’t appear from external damage, water insertion, or accidental drop by the user.

It’s worth mentioning that a number of Galaxy smartphone users reported the same problem in certain markets including India. Last year, the company announced that it is replacing the Galaxy S20 Plus screen affected by green or pink lines, even when out of warranty.

If you also have a Galaxy device, on which the Octa Line issue appeared, do visit a nearby authorized Samsung service center and share your concern. If they found your device qualified for free out-of-warranty service, you will be offered for sure.
