Google Maps is receiving a new update that brings various new features and optimizations to elevate the navigation experience. With every new release, Google aims to offer its users a more seamless functioning compared to before.
As per the details, Google Maps is getting improved transit directions, emoji reactions, and collaborative list features. These new elements will help users to get around places much more easily and conveniently in the upcoming holiday season.
The improved transit directions will recommend different routes depending on what you want. You get new options, such as the best routes, fewer transfers, less walking, wheelchair accessibility, and more. Users can also purchase transit passes through the app itself.
While using Google Maps collaborative lists, users can create a shared list where they and their friends can vote on certain destinations with emojis and decide where to visit next based on the votes. Whereas, Google Maps now allows users to react to photos and reviews using Google Emoji’s Kitchen.
However, some of the new features, such as emoji reactions, are rolling out for Android and iOS, while others, including new transit updates and collaborative lists, will be available for users in the coming weeks.
