Galaxy S24 camera woes linger despite updates

Many of the customers who were among the first to purchase the new Galaxy S24 were incredibly angry as a result of the camera problems, which have persisted there, virtually defying COVID-19. However, in a new video, Samsung reportedly still hasn’t fixed all the existing problems through various software updates.

This video, submitted by a reader, demonstrates the natural normal operating range of the autofocus unit on a wide sensor. And of course, this isn’t entirely surprising, as the Samsung Galaxy has been found to have the same embarrassing problems as older devices.

Samsung acknowledges the findings and plans to update the products. On the other hand, the whispers in the air are that this patch won’t appear until at least May or June, meaning photographers will have to put up with the current imperfect camera performance.

Previously, we addressed intense light exposure, particularly on the S24 Ultra, in which bright areas appeared washed out. Similarly, the white balance was also adjusted and the overall image quality was enhanced. Still, we haven’t found any obvious fix for the telephoto camera and the grapevine still appears under the red cast in photos.

Samsung has been commended as it has acknowledged the situation and is thus working on a permanent solution for Galaxy S24 owners, however, waiting for a full solution is frustrating for many of these owners. I’m hoping the May/June update will resolve the issue and eventually, the camera will reach the phone’s flagship ranks.
