December 2022 security update was earlier released for the carrier-locked models of Galaxy Z Flip and it’s now expanding for the carrier-unlocked models on AT&T, Cricket, Comcast, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile networks in the US.
On the other side, for the carrier unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 5G users the latest firmware is released in AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cricket, Nextech/C-Spire, and Xfinity Mobile networks in the United States. However, the update comes with a build version-

The December 2022 update is a regular monthly security patch that will enhance the security and stability of your device and further optimize the overall user experience to provide seamless performance for your flip smartphones.
Upgrading your device to the latest version will offer some or other improvements which can be related to performance, bug fixes or boosting the running of the device. If you want to install the latest version then you can install it manually through Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
