Top 3 Key Points:
- Widespread Rollout: Samsung rolls out the Circle to Search feature to over 25 million Galaxy devices globally, including mid-range models.
- Advanced Search Capability: Circle to Search is faster and more accurate than Google Lens, offering instant information with a simple gesture.
- One UI 7.0 Progress: Samsung is actively developing One UI 7.0, with beta testing for Galaxy S24 expected soon.
Samsung is rolling out its Circle to Search feature to more than 25 million Galaxy smartphones and tablets worldwide. Initially introduced with the Galaxy S24 earlier this year, Circle to Search has proven to be a valuable tool, now extending its reach to mid-range Galaxy devices.
Circle to Search Expansion
Last week, Samsung announced plans to bring Circle to Search to mid-range Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A34, A54, A35, A55, and other models. Just days later, the feature started appearing on these devices as part of the August 2024 software update. Samsung is now the first smartphone brand to offer this advanced search tool across a range of mid-range devices.
How Circle to Search Works
Unlike Google Lens, Circle to Search is integrated directly into the Galaxy operating system, making it faster and more accurate. The feature can be activated by simply long-pressing the navigation gesture bar or swiping from the bottom corners of the screen. Once activated, you can circle any object on your screen to instantly get more information, whether it’s identifying a pair of shoes in a video, translating text, or finding a song playing near you.
One UI 7.0 Development
While Samsung is busy enhancing its current features, it is also hard at work developing the next version of its interface, One UI 7.0. A new internal test build for the Galaxy S24 series was recently discovered on Samsung’s servers, signaling ongoing progress. Although the exact launch date of the One UI 7.0 beta program is still unknown, this development suggests that Samsung is inching closer to a public release. When it goes live, Galaxy S24 users in select regions are expected to be the first to participate in the beta testing.
As Samsung continues to expand its innovative features and refine its software, Galaxy users can look forward to an enhanced experience with both Circle to Search and the upcoming One UI 7.0 update.
