Previously, Samsung, a GM giant, was reluctant to adopt such a modern 50W USB PD dual-port charger. Now these devices are not delaying in making their impact on the most productive technological sector of smartphones. By providing “rapid charging capabilities,” which is where the innovation of this device lies, it could pave the way for a future that puts charging speed before everything else.
Samsung smartphones and tablets come in at the top of the fast-charging pile at 45-W, maxing out at any midpoint in between. The latest version – the 50W Super Fast Charging Adapter (Model EP-T5020) – surpasses the limitation mentioned above, providing authentic proof of the fact that its compatible devices will charge faster.
The EP-WT5020 is now available in some European markets and is priced at €69.90. These two USB Type-C outputs enable users to provide a smart and easy way of energy transfer. On the other hand, the main port enables 50W maximum charging, once the charger detects that a device is being charged.
Surprisingly, both devices are easy to carry, but the charger doesn’t cut corners when switching between different devices. Concurrent operation allows delivery of 25W each so both ports in use with Galaxy smartphones allow for a robust power supply. Among many, the charger is responsible for such power capability for the well-matched Galaxy Book laptop.
The impressive dual-port software solution works with PD 2.0 PPS technology, which Samsung has chosen as a sign of its efforts to upgrade charging technologies. What is happening right now is that access to malls is limited but the company hopes to open stores across the world soon.
It’s important to note that there’s also an option from Samsung that’s even stronger, the 65W triple-port EP-T6530 that’s purpose-built for Galaxy Book laptops. While other routers may seem to incorporate many market trends like speed and device compatibility, the EP-T5020 has the unique feature of emphasizing both.
