WhatsApp is making some modifications to the layout of the status updates header, to offer users a more intuitive method for sharing diverse content. In addition, this tweak will also enhance the overall user experience, aligning with a more modern interface.
With the latest 2.23.26.13 beta version update, WhatsApp has introduced two new buttons within the status updates header including a camera button and a pencil icon. The addition of these separate buttons will offer a cleaner and more organized appearance.
The pencil and camera icon in the front of Status will serve as convenient and modern shortcuts for users to quickly share images, videos, GIFs, and text as status updates with their contacts, making the process more intuitive.
Earlier, WhatsApp featured two floating action buttons to facilitate content sharing on the status. However, with the inclusion of channels in the Updates tab, these floating buttons became less legible. So, to bring back the glory of status, WhatsApp has made these modifications in the layout.
To be mentioned, the new layout for the status updates header is currently available to some beta testers who installed the latest version of WhatsApp beta on Android devices. However, we can expect its public rollout in the coming days or weeks.
