Do you remember how some people send you a link on WhatsApp that seems like the best or worst thing that ever happened? Mainly, it’s entirely possible that you’ll have more control over what you see before you press the “Play” button. Cue researchers report that WhatsApp is attempting a feature that allows people to turn off link previews entirely.
Currently, WhatsApp creates such descriptions itself, when it identifies a link, it tells the title, description, and sometimes even the picture of the link. This is true, but at the same time, it can also lead to wrong conclusions. People with bad intentions can spoof trusted sites by inserting false views into previews, which can trick users into clicking malicious links.
Zen WhatsApp Beta has a new “Disable Link Preview” option that steals the power out of users’ hands. With this toggle, you will be able to decide which link preview option you want to see: a plain link or a URL. It applies a win-only pattern which means the merchant will only pay if the consumer makes a purchase, usually by excluding random emails from unknown individuals.
We note that this facility is in tender. Although this is a matter of concern, it is good that WhatsApp is increasing its commitment regarding the privacy and security of users. WhatsApp makes online communication this experience as it tends to be “safe” and “informed” by allowing users to have control over link previews.
