Verizon is rolling out the August 2022 update for the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G update, which installs the latest Android patch released in July 2022 to improve system security. The update is being rolled out in the US.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy A51 August 2022 update enhances device performance by improving stability and security. In addition, the update fixes over 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities and exploits from Google and Samsung.

Apart from this, this update also upgrades Google Meet. The latest update replaced the Google Duo app with the Google Meet app and is available for download from the Google Play Store. After updating the Google Meet app, the Google Duo icon was automatically replaced with the Meet icon.
Galaxy A51 5G users who live in the US can recognize the latest update via version A516VSQU5EVG2. You can manually install this software update on your Galaxy A51 from Settings >> System Update >> Download and Install. Restart your device and it’s done.
Note:
- Make sure to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network or if it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
- Your device battery must be fully charged before starting the software update.
Samsung has already received the August 2022 security patch for a bunch of Galaxy devices. Also, over 500 million older Galaxy devices are receiving new updates with GPS stability improvements.
