In a recent development, Verizon releases the very latest December 2022 security update for the users of Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic in the US. The update can be identified via the firmware version mentioned below.

As far as the changes are concerned, this December 2022 update will improve the performance of your Galaxy wearables and bring some enhancements to the security and stability of the smartwatch to enrich the overall user experience.
Additionally, the update also said to resolve some common bugs and issues of your fitness tracker, to offer a more relevant interpretation. Other than these common improvements the changelog of the update didn’t mention any major changes or features.
For a reminder, the company has recently released new Ball watch faces for users of Galaxy wearables. To be mentioned the update is currently live for the version-locked Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 users and company will expand it to more users soon.
How to download and install the update
- Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected Android smartphone.
- Now go to the Watch settings.
- Tap on the Watch software update option.
- If your watch displays a Home tab, swipe to and tap Watch software update.
- Finally, tap the Download and install option to start downloading the update.
