Just like personal users, colleagues in enterprises can now also make direct calls on Google Meet, yes, the old tradition of sharing links before the meeting has now gone. This feature will be greatly useful for conducting regular meetings and having discussions.
According to the information, Google Meet is offering the ability to make cloud-encrypted 1:1 video calls to other users in your organization. This will let you place a Meet call on your mobile app directly to a colleague, ringing their mobile just like personal users already can.
These calls include in-meeting chat, virtual backgrounds, visual effects, live closed captions, and much more. In addition, the app is also getting a slight makeover, as the account avatar/switcher is no longer part of the search, while that bar now has a new Code shortcut.
Furthermore, there’s a new Start a Call screen added that looks three times better than the current one. Notably, the firm has made some more modifications that you will notice at the time of using this feature. Also, it will be available for eligible workspace users in the coming weeks.
