Meanwhile, this year Samsung brought a big change to its software update policy. Under this new policy, the company will provide devices with four major AndroidOS and five-year security patch updates.
Not only flagships, but selected Galaxy midrange phones deserve the same treatment. Samsung believes these changes will respond to the longer lifecycles of smartphones and improve the long-term security of those who rely on them.
