The company has also shared its beta changelog and according to that the One UI 5 will bring several enhancements, optimizations and new features for Galaxy users. Additionally, one of the most noticeable change is been found in the Smart Widget feature.
Samsung One UI 5 brings great enhancements to the smart widget feature which is now been called stackable widgets. With the One UI 5 update, this function is getting even easier. As you will now be able to create the scrollable quick-look widgets simply by long pressing a top existing widget on your homescreen.
Additionally, these stackable widgets help you to combine several widgets of the same size into a single widget to save space on your Home screen. Further, users will also be able to set widgets in a stack auto-rotating form depending upon your Galaxy screen orientation.
Moreover, users can access them by swiping to the left or right. However, only similar-sized widgets can be grouped in Smart Widgets. But in the previous version, like One UI 4.1 and older, this stackable feature was not there. And the users need to create a dedicated Smart Widget and get edited similarly.
How to add Smart Widget on your home screen
- Long-press the Smart Widget that you would like to edit on the home screen.
- Click on Settings in the pop-up menu to edit the Stack Widget.
- You can now see the list of widgets currently grouped in the Smart Widget.
- Now a toggle will let you enable the auto-rotation for widgets.
