Samsung is gearing up to release its next major software update, One UI 6.1.1, for foldable phones and tablets next month. However, the company is also busy developing One UI 7.0, with a planned release later this year. At the same time, Samsung has begun work on One UI 7.1 for its upcoming Galaxy S25 series.
The initial build of One UI 7.1 has been identified on Samsung’s servers, specifically for the US version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This build, marked as firmware version S938USQU0AXH4, is expected to be based on Android 15. As with previous releases, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will debut with this new version of One UI, which will likely feature enhanced AI capabilities.
The Galaxy S25 series, including the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, will be powered by advanced processors like the Exynos 2500 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The Exynos 2500, a 3nm chip, is anticipated to have a deca-core configuration and improved GPU for better performance. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is rumored to offer significant speed improvements and a more powerful GPU.
Additionally, the Galaxy S25 series is expected to sport rounded corners and the S25 Ultra may feature a top-of-the-line camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, two 50MP telephoto lenses, and a 12MP front camera.
