Samsung’s Android 15 Beta might arrive in September: Here’s why you should be cautious

Key Points:

  1. Samsung’s One UI 7 beta with Android 15 might launch in September, after delays.
  2. The delay is linked to the pending One UI 6.1.1 update, which hasn’t been widely rolled out yet.
  3. Despite rumors, there’s still uncertainty about the actual release timeline.

Samsung is now rumored to launch its One UI 7 beta program with Android 15 in September, after missing its originally planned release in late July. However, it’s important to manage expectations, as there are still some unresolved issues causing hesitation.

Initially, Samsung aimed to kick off the One UI 7 beta at the end of July, but that deadline has passed. The delay seems to be due to Samsung waiting to fully roll out the One UI 6.1.1 update before starting the new beta. As of now, the One UI 6.1.1 update has been delayed indefinitely.

According to a post from SamMobile on Twitter/X, Samsung is now targeting a September release for the One UI 7 beta, which will be based on Android 15. However, this timeline is just for the beta version, not the final release.

Interestingly, the same source suggests that Samsung plans to expand the rollout of One UI 6.1.1 to more countries. But there’s some confusion here—Samsung hasn’t officially announced One UI 6.1.1 for any device outside of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. Reports claim that the update has started rolling out to the Galaxy A34, but there’s no concrete evidence to back this up. A screenshot of the Galaxy A34 update shows it as One UI 6.1, not 6.1.1, leading to further uncertainty.

This situation is confusing because Samsung usually promotes the launch of new One UI versions through official press releases before updates begin rolling out. So far, there’s been no such announcement for One UI 6.1.1.

While the September launch for the One UI 7 beta seems reasonable, it’s still uncertain. Samsung might debut and accelerate the rollout of One UI 6.1.1 soon, but it hasn’t happened yet. Therefore, while this latest rumor might turn out to be accurate, it’s worth approaching with caution.
