Going with the report, Samsung transferred a sum of 98 patents it has in the US to Huawei in the month of November. Whereas, the company transmits 81 patents in the year 2019 so as a total Korean firm has given Huawei 179 patents so far.
Both firms has signed a cross-licensing agreement in 2019 to end the enduring patent disputes. Notably, the number of patents Samsung has given to Huawei is likely worth the same as the difference in their cross-licensing agreement.
It also seems like both companies have renewed their deal as the recent patent transfer occurred after a three-year period from the last patent transfer. Also, in such cross-licensing deals, it also happens that one company pays more to the other due to the difference in the number and quality of patents.
Samsung and Huawei patent transfer include the range related to telecommunications, charging, smartphone cameras, and display technologies. Additionally, the US Family patents registered in South Korea have also been transferred.
