Samsung has officially announced a groundbreaking enhancement to its Galaxy Watch line, poised to revolutionize personal health tracking. The upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 series will integrate advanced on-device AI, offering users an unparalleled health monitoring system in conjunction with Samsung Health.
Central to this innovation is the introduction of the Energy Score, a new AI-driven metric that synthesizes data from sleep patterns, daily activity, and heart rate. This score will empower users with detailed insights into their energy levels, enabling more informed adjustments to daily routines and activities.
The Galaxy Watch 7 is also tailored for fitness enthusiasts, particularly runners and cyclists. For runners, the watch will introduce Aerobic Threshold (AT) and Anaerobic Threshold (AnT) Heart Rate Zone metrics, allowing for optimal training within personalized heart rate zones. Cyclists will benefit from Functional Threshold Power (FTP) metrics, providing a personalized power index to train with the precision of professional athletes.
Further enhancements include AI-powered Wellness Tips to help users achieve their health goals, new sleep indicators such as sleep latency and respiratory rate, and the innovative Race feature for comparing current and past performances on the same routes. These features, debuting with the Galaxy Watch 7 series in July, will also be part of the One UI 6 Watch, which is set to roll out to older Galaxy Watch models later in the year.
Samsung’s commitment to integrating AI into health tracking marks a significant leap forward, promising to elevate personal health management and fitness training to new heights.
