Samsung to share Astrophoto and Star Trails features with more Galaxy devices

At present, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S23 Ultra is the most powerful camera smartphone. Apart from hardware, the smartphone is equipped with stunning software capabilities to deliver next-level photography experiences. Well, Samsung is ready to expand S23’s Astrophoto and Star Trails features to older Galaxy devices.

The official confirmed that the review is in progress and it’s expected that the rollout roadmap will be released by this week. Astrophoto is already available through the Expert RAW camera app on the Galaxy S22 line, which will make its debut on more Galaxy models soon.

Star Trails, which is technically known as AstroHyperlapse is a Galaxy S23-exclusive feature. However, it won’t stay limited to the S23 lineup for long as Samsung is already working to share it with more models such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Z Fold 4.

At present, it’s difficult to speculate which feature will be rolled out and while Galaxy devices will be eligible. The company is working to optimize the new features on older models, but hardware limitations end the possibility of a feature’s arrival, so, time will tell.
