The gears of the industry have started once again. Tech giants engage in war. After Apple’s major supply disruption and technical problems for the last five months, Samsung got the best of February 2024. The key factor that is making this revolution possible? Leading the way, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series features AI-powered features as well as a range of innovative technology.
The name Galaxy AI does not merely exist but connotes a colorful picture. It is a set of ‘smart’ appliances that look very attractive. These features, like real-time translated conversations in 13 languages and Things Near Me, where one simply draws a circle around something on the screen and it is instantly loaded with information, are proving to be situational game-changers.
It’s been a while since AI came into the picture, but its impact has been quite significant on projects that use AI to help enhance their business prospects. The volume of Samsung smartphones shipped by the company in February stood at 19.69 million, while Apple’s only stood at 17.41 million units. Even in the US where Apple is considered to have mastery, Samsung saw a notable increase in market share to 55%, with the Galaxy S24 capturing a 52% share across the entire range of sales.
Samsung is not stopping here. To keep up with consumer demand for convenience and personalization, the company is set to introduce Galaxy AI features to the older flagship lineup on One UI 6.1, allowing more users to take advantage of the power of on-device intelligence. This is an example of how the Korean conglomerate is putting all its efforts into keeping AI-powered technologies at the forefront of its future technologies list, and its vision seems to be succeeding.
