A few months back, Samsung rolled out the Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch update for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and now in December 2023, the firm is releasing new firmware for the wearables. This new update will improve the functioning of the smartwatches.

In addition, the firmware will also enhance the security and stability grades of the Galaxy Watch and offer consumers a more seamless experience. Other than this, the update didn’t bring any new features, but users may also encounter fixes for common bugs that are ruining the experience.

Moving toward the details, the update released in December 2023, is going to be the first Wear OS 4-based update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Consequently, the firmware is rolling out with version R870XXU1HWL1, and you can install it by following some simple steps.

Firstly, connect the Galaxy Watch 4 to your smartphone and open the Galaxy Store app. Now, tap on the Menu option and click on Updates.
