Samsung has geared up its latest month’s security patch rollout process and blessed a total of four Galaxy devices including Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 FE devices with the fixes and improvements of the December 2023 update.
According to the information, the December 2023 update for the Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S20 Fan Edition model is initially released in Canada and will expand to more region users including the US, India, Germany, and more in the coming days.
Being a regular monthly patch, the update didn’t bring any new features to major changes, but it offers improved protection against threats and provides enhanced security for the system. In addition, the update will also resolve over 60 CVE and SVE items from Google and Samsung.
Accordingly, the owners of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 FE will be able to determine the December 2023 update via the build version G981WVLS8HWK2, G981WVLS8HWK2, G981WVLS8HWK2 and G781WVLSCHWK1 respectively.
Also, the update is rolling out gradually, thus, it may take some time to cover all the eligible units in the country. In case you don’t want to wait for the OTA, then check for the latest version manually through Settings > Software Version > Download & Install.
