Samsung expanding the reach of the December 2022 Android security patch for more users of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra around the world. The device users have earlier received the update in India, Malaysia, and Europe, and now it’s rolling out in the US.

Samsung’s December 2022 security update will enhance the security and stability of your Galaxy S22 smartphones and will optimize the overall performance. For your knowledge, the latest monthly security update comes with One UI build version –
- Galaxy S22 – S901U1UEU2BVL1
- Galaxy S22+ -S906U1UEU2BVL1
- Galaxy S22 Ultra – S908U1UEU2BVL1
Along with common performance optimizations, the December 2022 security update also includes fixes for a total of 93 issues and vulnerabilities of your device including 5 critical, 26 high level, and 2 moderate levels of CVEs alongside 26 SVEs.
Notably, the update is currently rolling out for the carrier-unlocked versions of the Galaxy S22 series in the networks including AT&T, Cricket, Bluegrass Cellular, and C-Spire. However, the company will soon expand it for the remaining users.
How to update manually
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and go to end of the page.
- Tap on the Software update menu.
- Hit the Download & Install button.
- Once installed, Reboot your smartphone.
