Recently, Samsung started rolling out the August 2022 security update for the Galaxy S22 series devices, and the same treatment is now being received by the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
As per the report, Samsung is getting the latest August 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S21 series smartphones via a new software update across the European market.
In addition to improving system security by installing the latest Android patch, Samsung is also rolling out new app version updates to a handful of stock apps like Notes, Wearable, and Wallet.

The South Korean tech giant is bringing the most up-to-date security patch, build versions G991BXXU5CVGB, G996BXXU5CVGB, and G998BXXU5CVGB, to the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra respectively.
As of now, Samsung has not released the August 2022 security patch details, which will surely be shared in the first week of next month. Prior to One UI 5 beta, this is an important firmware, which increases the stability and security of your phone.
If you’re not from Europe, you’ll need to wait a few hours or days until the Korean tech giant expands the availability of new security patches for the Galaxy S21 series devices. In the meantime, you can check manually:
- Open your phone’s Settings
- Go below and hit the Software updates section
- A button named Download and install will be there, hit it, and that’s it!
