Samsung is still the undisputed champion in timely security updates on its devices. The coming month sees the release of the Galaxy A52 and the flagships Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 by Samsung, these are tipped with the April 2024 security update.
The Samsung Galaxy A52, which was released in 2021, receives Unicode special characters and security as their software update. It is in Russia and Kazakhstan, in addition, it resolves dozens of vulnerabilities. Operators will do this through the settings you have installed.
If you are a user of the Flip 5 model in Europe and receive the April 2024 security update, it will be a planned system software, not an extension of any new functions. It all starts with the Z Flip 5 in October 2023. Naturally, the One UI 6.0 update, which is based on Android 14, initially shipped with the device. The update can be loaded manually through the Settings menu or using Odin software on a PC.
This will be customary for Fold 5 owners in Europe who own a Galaxy. Users will get the April patch after the OS update made with the March 2024 patch in March this year. Described as “Security Only”, this update can be downloaded manually from the `Settings” app or by directly flashing the device. Those who are out of the region right now can expect the update soon or get it in the One UI 6.1 version if they haven’t received it yet.
Several days after the release, the company released some patches that emphasize the fact that security remains a priority for Samsung, regardless of the device’s price or release date. This is especially essential in the current digital age, which is full of security holes that can pose massive threats.
