After releasing the October 2023 One UI software update to Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Fold4/Flip4, and Fold3/Flip3, the update is now available for the original Galaxy Z Flip and the Z Flip 5G users in the US. The update is available for both carrier-locked and unlocked devices in the country.

The October 2023 security patch brings a fix for several security vulnerabilities. The software version of the Galaxy Z Flip’s locked variant is F700USQU8JWI2 and version F700U1TBU8JWI2 is for the unlocked variant. The unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 5G has software version F707U1UEU6IWI2 for the latest security update.
Samsung Galaxy A52 and A53:
Samsung has started rolling out the October 2023 security update to the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A52. The LTE Galaxy A52 has started getting the October 2023 security patch with software version A525FXXS6DWI1. The locked Galaxy A52 5G is getting the new update with version A526USQSBEWI5 and the unlocked unit is A526U1UESBEWI2 in the US.
In the US, the Galaxy A53 has started getting the update with software version A536USQS8CWI1. For global users, the Galaxy A53 is getting the October 2023 security update with software version A536BXXS7CWI1. The update doesn’t bring any new features or performance updates.
Samsung Galaxy S10 gets a new update after the software update ended:
Samsung Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ were eligible for 3 major OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates. The software support was already ended for the Galaxy S10 series, but these devices are now getting a new update.
The update is currently only available in Mexico with the September 2023 security patch and version HWI1. The trio had received the last software update in March early this year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S7:
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S7 are also getting the latest October 2023 security update. The Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab S8 devices are receiving the update with software version BWI1. The Galaxy Tab S7 series is also getting the update in European countries. The October 2023 security update only improves security and nothing else.
