According to the information, Samsung Display revealed the new prototype display and hinge at CES 2023. The “Flex In & Out” display can rotate 360 degrees, meaning it can be folded inward and outward effectively John Lucas reported TheVerge.

Moving on the display comes with a different hinge design that apparently forms a less visible crease with the “water-drop hinge” which could allow the display to form a looser shape like a waterdrop when folded inward and this will also put less stress on the display.
As of now, Samsung has not revealed any folding phone which can be folded outward but with the upcoming generation of foldable we can see some major modifications like the 360-degree rotating device and it will definitely increase the level of competition.
Notably, it’s not yet confirmed that whether we see this new prototype display with the fifth generation of foldable or if we have to wait for more years. Additionally, this is not the first time when the company revealed such innovation but the technology has not been adopted yet.
