Samsung has launched a self-repair program for Galaxy customers in the USA starting today. Initially, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 series, and Galaxy Tab S7+ device users can access the Self-Repair Program webpage to purchase parts and iFixit repair tools, however, it is only available in the USA.
The South Korean tech giant revealed the idea behind the self-repair program, which aims to let Galaxy fans extend the life of their devices, promote a circular economy, and reduce e-waste. To make it all possible and user-friendly, the company partnered with iFixit.

The Samsung-iFixit collaboration provides detailed online step-by-step guides for its self-repair program, as well as specialized repair tool sets for mobile devices. Right after purchasing a part from Samsung, Galaxy consumers will need to watch the video guide and follow the instructions before disassembling their device.

You can purchase genuine device parts and convenient, easy-to-use repair tools available through iFixit, Samsung 837, and Samsung retail and service locations at the same price as the company’s affiliated repair providers.
As of now, Samsung device users can replace the phone screen, back glass, and charging port. In the future, the company plans to expand self-repair to include more phones and tablets as well as repair options from its broader product portfolio.
