In a big announcement today, Samsung indicated that their software update for Galaxy AI will be extended to the Netherlands edition of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Thus, Samsung’s Galaxy AI commercialization, as announced in the mid-term roadmap for 2024, means a major change compared to their previous speculations against Galaxy AI services, which were only available on high-end Galaxy devices before 2023. S is for 24 series.
Samsung’s strategic move was transparent when it reported plans for a wider outlet launch in early April. Its purchase was subsequently followed by an international announcement in mid-April, which is the gateway to the latest development currently confirmed for use by the Dutch population.
In the same month, it will be available for the rest of the top devices of 2022, which are the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. One UI 6.1 and most of the indoor features powered by Live AI will first appear on these devices in May.
Additionally, they will have a wide selection of new features like PIP, navigation, and multitasking with smooth animations. Additionally, the upgrade addresses shortcomings from the previous One UI version including ‘burn-in bugs’, and is more polished resulting in a better user experience. Even though the Galaxy AI functions are in primary use, it is necessary to underline that the update of the instant slow-motion function is not present in the new model.
