Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 5 series and it’s great to know that the company keeps improving its old wearables. In a recent development, the August 2022 security update has rolled out for the two-year-old Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch.

This update improves the security and stability of your wearable, so you won’t face any issues like lag or crashes with any of its features or apps. At the same time, the company slightly improves the performance of this product to maintain the user experience.
Also, the official changelog for the update also mentions GPS improvements. It will further provide proper positioning, navigation, and timing services to the users.
In addition, the August 2022 update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 can be identified via build version R840XXU1CVG1. It comes in at an update package size of around 35MB, which is huge and indicates there’s a lot inside.
To update your Galaxy Watch 3, navigate to and open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone. Now tap on Watch Settings and then tap on Watch Software Update.
Your watch will display a Home tab, swipe up and tap View software updates. Finally hit the Download and Install option to see the available software updates.
To automatically download software updates over a Wi-Fi network, tap the switch next to Auto download over Wi-Fi. While the software update is being applied, the clock will reboot and show a progress bar or rotating animation.
