While the tech world awaits Samsung’s next Unpacked event, rumored for July 10th, there’s a product you won’t see there: the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. This tablet, along with the rest of the S10 line, is expected for a much later release in early 2025. Thanks to leakster Onleaks, however, we can offer a first glimpse at this upcoming device.
One immediate takeaway: don’t expect a drastic design overhaul. The dimensions of the Tab S10 Ultra mirror those of the S9 Ultra almost perfectly, at 326.4 x 208.6 x 5.45mm. This includes the controversial notch housing the dual front cameras. While some may find it intrusive, it’s a far cry from the notches sported by Apple devices.
Samsung is also sticking with the impressive 14.6-inch display, solidifying the Tab S10 Ultra’s position as the largest Android tablet on the market. The quad-speaker setup, likely tuned by AKG once again, remains unchanged as well.
The biggest mystery surrounding the Tab S10 Ultra lies in its internal specs. With the launch months away, details are scarce. A major point of contention seems to be the processor. Samsung is reportedly debating between the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the more powerful Snapdragon X Elite. While the X Elite would match the performance of Apple’s new M4 iPad Pro, concerns linger about compatibility with the current Android app landscape. Such power could also negatively impact battery life.
RAM options are expected to mirror the S9 Ultra, with 12GB or 16GB configurations. Storage is likely to follow suit, offering 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. The inclusion of a 2TB option, however, would be a welcome surprise.
While the Tab S10 Ultra may not bring a revolutionary design, it appears to refine a winning formula. The massive display and powerful internals, once finalized, could solidify Samsung’s dominance in the high-end Android tablet market.
