Samsung has already started research and development on its Galaxy-exclusive chip, which could be fabricated on 3nm process technology and is likely to debut with Galaxy S25 in 2025.
According to the tipster @Tech_Reve (via Sammy Fans), the Korean tech giant’s Samsung System LSI Division is developing the next-generation Exynos chip for future flagship Galaxy phones. The company is expected to manufacture it on Samsung Foundry’s 3nm process.
The tipster also claimed that the Galaxy S25 is expected to come with Samsung’s dream chip built on the advanced 3nm process technology in 2025. As the company hopes, its exclusive chip will be highly optimized for Galaxy devices with boosted performance and power efficiency.
Earlier this year, Samsung and Qualcomm signed a multi-year partnership on technologies. For the first time in years, the company is shipping the Galaxy S23 series with a Snapdragon processor in all countries, even the European markets. It’s expected to be maintained the next year as well.
Since Samsung’s chip development isn’t expected to conclude this year, we don’t believe that the Galaxy S24 series will have an Exynos processor. Without doing anything in hurry, Samsung will invest sufficient time to take the best possible Galaxy chip as an outcome.
The Galaxy S24 series would be equipped with Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy” processor. Compared to the vanilla Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Samsung’s exclusive Snapdragon chip brings overclocked CPU and GPU to the Galaxy S23 series consumers.
Apart from the Snapdragon for Galaxy processor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to bring upgraded Telephoto camera sensors and zoom technology. As far as the design language is concerned, Samsung is less likely to make radical changes in the phone’s look.
