Samsung has not yet unveiled the Galaxy S24 series and rumors about its successor have begun hovering on the web, hinting at some significant upgrades. The recent leak claims that Galaxy S25 devices will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, to offer Samsung users advanced performance.
According to the information, Samsung will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 3nm chip on its Galaxy S25 devices. The TSMC-manufactured SoC has an octa-core Oryon CPU featuring two high-performance Phoenix L CPU cores and six power-efficient Phoenix M CPU cores.
However, this chip is expected to be used in the Galaxy S25 series, at least in the North American markets, while, the Korean tech maker could equip the standard Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus with its Exynos 2500 processor.
It’s also reported that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor consumes 8W of power, lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, offering improved power efficiency, and the Adreno 830 GPU inside the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is 10% more powerful than the desktop-grade M2 chip inside Apple’s laptops and desktops.
DCS: 8G4 is codenamed SUN, adopts 2+6 structure, and the production process is TSMC 3nm.
Furthermore, he made an interesting statement, saying, "The design performance of Qualcomm's Oryon architecture has significantly improved, posing a threat to Apple." pic.twitter.com/kxhvqV7k1D
