The Wi-Fi 7 Ready certification is now finally available to compatible devices and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly be the first smartphone of 2024 to ship with this advanced technology. Notably, Wi-Fi 7 is a significant upgrade over the current Wi-Fi 6E standard.
As per the information, the Wi-Fi 7 is now all set to debut with future devices and the launch of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is just one week away. Thus, it can be expected that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the first to feature this advanced tech, but, Samsung has not yet revealed any such details officially.
The Wi-Fi Certified 7 features 320 MHz superwide channels that are only available in 6 GHz and provide twice the throughput of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6®, enabling multigigabit Wi-Fi device speeds. It offers Multi-Link Operation support for more efficient load balancing of traffic among links and more.
Besides the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the other models of lineup including Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ will likely remain at Wi-Fi 6E. Accordingly, the Galaxy S24 series will be unveiled on January 27, 2024, at the Galaxy Unpacked Event in San Jose USA.
