Samsung Galaxy S24 FE unveiled by FCC and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition to feature S Pen support

Top 3 Key Points:

  1. Galaxy S24 FE Revealed: First look at the Galaxy S24 FE via FCC certification, showcasing a design similar to the Galaxy S24 series.
  2. Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition: New rumors confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will support the S Pen, contrary to previous reports.
  3. S Pen Integration: The S Pen support does not include a built-in slot, keeping the device slim and battery-efficient.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 FE has been officially certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States, giving us the first glimpse of the device. Although the images provided by the FCC aren’t close-up shots, they reveal that the S24 FE shares design elements with the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models. The images depict the phone during radiation testing, with the screen turned off and the device attached to testing equipment.

Earlier this month, leaked press images of the Galaxy S24 FE surfaced online, showing a flat aluminum frame and glass panels on both the front and back. While it shares many design traits with the Galaxy S24 series, the S24 FE will feature slightly thicker bezels.

The phone is expected to be available in several colors, including blue, graphite, mint, silver, and yellow. Spec-wise, the S24 FE will closely resemble the Galaxy S24 and S24+, including the use of Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset. Notably, the Exynos 2400 will be used in the U.S. market, a departure from Samsung’s usual practice of using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in high-end U.S. models.

In other news, Samsung’s much-anticipated Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Slim or Ultra, is now expected to support the S Pen, according to the latest reports. This new information contradicts earlier rumors that suggested otherwise.

However, it’s important to note that while the S Pen will be compatible with the device, there won’t be an internal slot to store it, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold6. The lack of space within the foldable device prevents the integration of the S Pen without compromising battery capacity or making the device bulkier.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is rumored to feature a 200 MP main camera and boasts an ultra-slim design—just 4.9 mm thick when unfolded and 10.6 mm when folded. The device will have an 8-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover display. Samsung enthusiasts can look forward to these exciting new additions to the Galaxy lineup, with official announcements expected soon.
