Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S24 FE in October 2024, following the release of the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. This launch schedule aligns with the timeline of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE, which debuted in early October last year. However, similar to the S23 FE, the S24 FE may see a staggered release across different regions, with Europe possibly receiving the device later.
The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to showcase a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals and sharp detail. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Exynos 2400 processor, a notable upgrade from the Exynos 2200 in the previous model, offering better performance and energy efficiency.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy S24 FE will sport a triple-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP 3x telephoto lens. For selfies, there will be a 10MP front-facing camera. The device will also retain the premium design of its predecessor, with a metal frame and glass panels on both the front and back.
The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to come with a 4,565mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, along with wireless and reverse wireless charging options. Other key features include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Samsung DeX, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Samsung Pay, and a USB Type-C port.
Samsung is also planning to launch the Galaxy A16 in December 2024, following the S24 FE’s release. As the launch date approaches, more details are likely to emerge, but the Galaxy S24 FE already looks set to be a strong contender in the premium mid-range smartphone market.
