Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S24 Fan Edition (FE) is gearing up for its launch, as it was recently spotted passing through the FCC certification process. Following the release of the Galaxy S23 FE in October 2023, Samsung seems set to continue the tradition with the Galaxy S24 FE, likely launching in October this year.
The FCC certification, identified by model number SM-S721B/DS, confirms that the Galaxy S24 FE will support 25W fast charging—an expected feature for this model. Additionally, earlier certifications from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) revealed that the phone will include advanced connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. Other anticipated features include 5G, NFC for wireless payments, wireless charging, and a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).
The device was also listed by the Korean Testing Laboratory (KTC), where it was tested with two different battery models, solidifying the 25W fast charging support. Rumors suggest that the S24 FE will come with a 4,565mAh battery, similar to its predecessor, the S23 FE. The display size might also increase to 6.65 inches, offering a larger screen compared to the 6.4-inch display on the Galaxy S23 FE.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to be powered by an underclocked Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with an Xclipse 940 GPU and 8GB of RAM. The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP front-facing camera.
Samsung is reportedly integrating advanced AI features into the Galaxy S24 FE, with Galaxy AI being a key differentiator. Among the new features is AI Zoom, which will leverage artificial intelligence to enhance photo quality, making the S24 FE stand out in a competitive market.
