Samsung is going to introduce the Galaxy S23 series devices on the first day of February. The S23 trio will come pre-installed with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 custom skin. Interestingly, Samsung is going to bring the One UI 5.1 update to older Galaxy devices soon.
According to a new report (based on previous rollout history), Samsung’s next One UI version, One UI 5.1 will bring “a lot of improvements” to the day-to-day usage of Galaxy devices. Here, the tipster may have thought about regularly used features such as camera, gallery, phone dialer, quick settings, lockscreen, and homescreen.

The Galaxy S23 series exclusively runs One UI 5.1 software out of the box. The source claimed that the company may offer some of the new Galaxy S23 features to older Galaxies with the One UI 5.1 update. It means, there will be new cameras and customization options on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series.
Some of the officially confirmed Galaxy S23 x One UI 5.1 features are Video Wallpaper on the lock screen and the phone’s zoom control through the Watch’s Camera Controller. Apart from this, leaked documentation showcased that the S23 series brings a new AI Restoration mode in the native camera app.
Earlier, Samsung released the Camera Controller update to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatches. The One UI 5.1 changelog revealed that the update is coming to the Samsung devices launched post-Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip.
It means the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are officially confirmed to grab the One UI 5.1. However, the same treatment may be given to the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Flip LTE smartphones too.
Samsung’s Android 13 update is rolled out for almost every eligible smartphone and tablet globally. The major software update brings One UI 5.0 custom skin, unlocking additional features and customization tools.
