The recently certified battery has the model number EB-BS916ABY, which indicates that it will come with the Galaxy S23 Plus. Following the previous record, the model number of the Galaxy S23 Plus should be SM-S916B, while SM-S911B and SM-S918B should be for the standard Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra respectively.
However, Chinese firm ATL (Ningde Amperex Technology Limited) has manufactured the battery for the S23+. The same firm is also making batteries for the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones.
It is worth noting that Safety Korea is a South Korean agency that certifies the battery and the S23 Plus battery has also been certified by the same authority. Although the battery capacity and other details are not known from the Korean certification, only time will tell what changes Samsung is going to bring.
As per previous reports, the Galaxy S23 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset worldwide. The Ultra model is rumored to be equipped with a 200MP camera sensor, while the display panels could be sleeker and power efficient.
