In early 2021, Samsung launched flagships of the Galaxy S21 series, which came pre-loaded with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 software. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra were the first to receive the Android 12-based One UI 4 beta/stable version, while three more were eligible for major upgrades, including Android 13.

On top of the promise of three OS updates on a regular basis, Samsung extended support for the Galaxy S21 series devices to four years. Apart from major Android and One UI upgrades, the company has also promised at least five years of regular security patches.
Following the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 and One UI 4.1 updates, Samsung Galaxy S21 series phones are now eligible and eager to get the upcoming Android 13-based One UI 5 (beta/stable) version. Not to mention, Google introduced Android 13 on the Developer Preview channel in February 2022, while it is limited to Pixel phones.
Galaxy S21 Android 13 Beta Status
Like last year, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S22 series will initially be among the Galaxy devices eligible to receive the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta and One UI 5.0 stable update. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will join the party with Android 13-based One UI 5 beta.

Galaxy S21 Android 13 Release Date
If the company goes by rumors, One UI 5 will go live for Galaxy consumers in July, while stable delivery is likely to take place after about two months of beta testing. Accordingly, we can expect the arrival of Android 13′ for the Galaxy S21 series later this year.
