Samsung rolled out a new firmware update for the Galaxy S20 series of devices that includes the November 2022 security patch. Models that support 4G and 5G networks in Europe have started receiving the latest security patches as part of the second Android 13 firmware.

If you’re in Europe, you may have received a notification that the device has received a new update. You can identify the November 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, or S20 Ultra by the version number G980FXXSFGVK1/G981BXXSFGVK1, G985FXXSFGVK1/G986BXXSFGVK1, or G988BXXSFGVK1, respectively.
This new software update allows you to better optimize your hardware and your newly installed operating system. Specifically, the latest security update fixes dozens of bugs and CVEs for your Galaxy phone, including three critical, 32 high, and one moderate CVE.
How to download:
First, go to your device’s System Settings, and when you’re done, scroll down and tap the “Software Update” tab, then the “Download and Install” button.
