Samsung has started releasing a new update with May 2023 security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. The new update is currently available in Brazil.
The latest rollout for Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones bumps up the firmware version to G98xFOWOGHD1. The installation package size of this update is 196.52 megabytes.
May 2023 Security Patch
The new software installs the latest Android patch which brings fixes for over 70 security flaws. It might also include bug fixes, device stability optimization, and functional enhancements.
According to the patch details, Samsung’s May 2023 patch fixes several issues related to App Lock, Telephony framework, Call Settings, and Bootloader.
To install the latest update on your Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphone, open your Galaxy device Settings, press on the Software Update option, and then click on the Download and install option. Once after installing the update, you will not be able to download the old software because of updates to the security policy.
