Samsung delays One UI 7.0

Key Points:

  • Samsung’s upcoming software, One UI 7, is delayed.
  • The delay is due to software issues.
  • The new software will likely be released in August.

Samsung has hit a roadblock with its latest software update for its Galaxy phones. The tech giant was planning to release a test version of One UI 7 on July 29th, but unexpected problems have forced them to postpone it.

This isn’t the first time Samsung has faced delays with its software. To make sure the final product is smooth and reliable, the company is taking extra time to fix any issues before sharing it with the public.

While there’s no exact date yet, Samsung is aiming for an August release. This lines up with previous release schedules. It’s possible that the final launch could happen close to Google’s big tech event on August 13th, where Google will unveil its new Pixel phones and the latest Android operating system.

One UI 7 will be built on top of Android 15 and will bring exciting new features like a revamped notification system and a more customizable quick settings panel. Samsung plans to initially release the test version in select countries, including India.

While Samsung is focused on One UI 7, they’re also working on improving their current software, One UI 6, for older phones.
