After the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung has now started rolling out a new software update with April 2023 security patch for Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 smartphones. The new update installs the latest Android patch to improve system security and stability.
The latest firmware for these foldable smartphones is currently rolling out on the T-Mobile network carrier in the US. It is worth mentioning the update is available only for carrier-unlocked devices. The April 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 can identify through the One UI build versions F936U1UES2CWC9 and F721U1UES2CWC9 respectively.
According to the official details, the April 2023 patch fixes a bunch of common vulnerability exposures including but not limited to 5 Critical, 46 High, and 1 Moderate. Notably, Google found 4 more vulnerabilities, which are not applicable to Samsung Galaxy devices.
The update is initially rolling out in the US and more countries will receive this update in a few days or weeks. The installation package size of the latest update is over 300 megabytes, you can download and install it by following a few steps.
Open your device Settings, press on the Software Update option, and then click on the Download and install option. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest update.
